Introduction

The programme works on the housekeeping services the guest requests or sees beyond the cleaning of the room. It covers evening turndown, laundry and pressing returned within the time promised, and room requests, from an iron to a phone charger. It covers the inspection that releases a room for arrival and the morning round, planned around guests' schedules. It includes public areas, lost property, cots and extra beds, and babysitting by sitters from the hotel's approved list only. It closes with the procedure for a guest room found open.

The outcome

Every room is inspected by a supervisor before the guest enters, and what the guest asks for reaches the door within the time promised. The lobby, corridors and public washrooms stay in order all day, and items left behind go back only to their owner.
