The Best Luxury Hotels in Rome

Rome, Italy

Rome's luxury hotel scene is a masterclass in blending ancient grandeur with contemporary refinement. The Eternal City's best properties occupy historic palazzi, former princely residences, and centuries-old convents, each layer of history adding depth to the guest experience.

Unlike other luxury capitals where brand dominance drives the market, Rome rewards independent operators and boutique concepts that honour the city's singular character.

The hotels on this list share one quality: they make you feel like a temporary Roman, not a tourist passing through.
